Overview

The City and County of Honolulu Department of Community Services provide aging & disability resources, grants, housing and rental assistance, workforce training, and youth services to the people and families on O‘ahu.

Specialties

Provide rental assistance to low-income households; emergency and transitional shelter to homeless people or persons with special needs; community based senior services, job training and referral services for adults and challenged youth to facilitate employment; community based economic development and neighborhood revitalization programs; and support for community based nonprofit organizations who serve economically challenged individuals in their communities.

The Elderly Affairs Division (808) 768-7706 & Senior Helpline (808) 768-7700 helps seniors, persons with disabilities, and caregivers. The American Job Center Hawaii (808) 768-5701 provides free employment training services and assists employers who are looking to hire or train employees. Youth Services Center (808) 768-5888 helps Oahu's young people access programs and services that put them on the path to economic, educational, and social well-being.
